Modesto, CA

We drove to Modesto today, leaving LA around 9 this morning.

Traffic wasn't bad as we left town and headed over the Sierras and into the Joaquin Valley.

Going up the highway toward Modesto took us right through Steinbeck Country and close to the setting for our show.  It is clearly still important farm land.

Our hotel was about three blocks from the theater so several of us walked there instead of riding the bus.  Downtown Modesto is really attractive, lots of interesting little shops and restored architecture.

Before fight call in the theater

We have a sellout tonight in Steinbeck Country.  Needless to say, we're all looking forward to tonight's show.
