Chicago Weekend

Downtown Cincinnati

Wind farm in Indiana

We've arrived in Oak Brook, IL just outside Chicago for a weekend off. The drive up from Somerset was dominated by college football. We started early with the Alabama-Kentucky game which had an outcome that made John Hardy happy. That was followed immediately by the LSU-Georgia game - a much closer game - which made Dave and our driver Preston happy. (Preston is from LA and Dave is an LSU grad.)

Weather was nice as we left Kentucky and went through Cincinnati but as we got close to Indianapolis the clouds got thicker and thicker and by the time we reached the outskirts of Chicago a hazy drizzle had settled in. We saw an amazingly large wind farm in Indiana which the picture above doesn't do justice.

It's our first day off without a show since the tour began and I think we're all looking forward to our golden day tomorrow off without travel. On Monday we head to Appleton, Wisconsin (another travel day off) with two shows on Tuesday. Right now - dinner time!
