We arrived at the theater this morning at 8:45 to get ready for a morning show for around 1000 students. The Grand Theater is a beautiful facility built in 1927, restored and remodeled about 7 or 8 years ago. The Of Mice and Men set looks like it was built to fit this space exactly.
According to the marquee it was 38 degrees when we got to the theater this morning. Wausau is less than an hour from Canada and it's the first morning on tour where I could actually see my breath when we walked to the bus. The colors are beautiful here and downtown Wausau is so picturesque. I hope to get some shots this afternoon before we come back for the evening show.
What a beautiful theatre! I wonder what OTHER great performers played there in its long and illustrious history!
